About Samy Pediatrics

Samy Pediatrics was born from a simple vision: to safeguard the precious and vulnerable bonding period between parents and newborns by offering comprehensive medical and lactation care, all within the familiarity of home. As both a mother and a pediatric provider, I understand the challenges of caring for a newborn without a support network.

Facing the complexities of pregnancy during the pandemic, my partner and I explored delivery options, recognizing potential challenges for women of color in a hospital setting. Opting for a home birth, we experienced the benefits firsthand. Our midwives provided attentive care, addressing issues like latching, nipple pain, and tongue restrictions—all from the comfort of our home.

This transformative experience fueled my commitment as a healthcare provider. Despite exceptional care, I felt a void in addressing my questions as a new parent. Delving into extensive research and learning, I gained valuable insights beyond my pediatric nursing training, benefiting both as a mom and a healthcare professional.
